What's free forever vs Pro on a daily execution deck, and do I need an account to try?
A daily execution deck. Not a course. Not a feed. Not a stack of apps.
One screen for your Top 3, Today, relationship touches and weekly score. The day is held, and you are not drowning in an infinite list.
If you're comparing tools, you want three answers before anything else: what is actually free, what costs money, and whether you can try it without handing over an email address. This page answers all three for Billion Habit, using only what the live FAQ, plans page and refund policy say. Nothing here is a launch offer or a discount.
Direct answer
Billion Habit's Foundations plan is free forever: your Today list, streak and score (uncapped), cloud sync and unlimited Mastermind pods. Pro is $7/month or $60/year and adds an AI morning briefing, Google Calendar sync and weekly review with year-view history, with a 7-day free trial and 30-day money-back. You can use the deck without an account.

What "free forever" means on Foundations
Foundations isn't a trial or a limited preview of the deck. The plans page describes it as "Everything needed to actually run the daily loop. No caps, no clock." (plans). The FAQ's version: "Foundations is free forever: your Today list, streak and score, uncapped, plus cloud sync and unlimited Mastermind pods." (FAQ).
The full Foundations list on the plans page:
- Today list, streak & score: uncapped, forever
- A starter level, a famous routine, or one AI-generated first draft
- Daily notes, achievements & milestones
- Push notifications & reminders
- Cloud sync across your own devices
- Public share page & Execution Card export
- Unlimited Masterminds: build a pod, invite whoever you want
Two points worth being clear about:
- The deck itself is free. Top 3, Today, relationship touches and the weekly score are the product, and they're on Foundations. The score isn't held back for Pro (more: weekly score).
- Sharing and the Execution Card are two different things, and both are on Foundations. The share link shows the same summary pod members see; it's controlled by Sharing in Settings and is "off by default and you can disable it at any time" (privacy). The Execution Card is an export you make and send yourself.
What Pro adds ($7/month or $60/year)
The plans page calls Pro "the depth layer, on top of everything in Foundations" (plans). The FAQ summarises it as "an AI morning briefing, Google Calendar sync, weekly review with year-view history, and more" (FAQ). The plans page lists the "more":
- AI morning briefing & AI time-advising, full depth
- Google Calendar two-way sync
- Weekly Review ritual + full Year-view history & analytics
- See how your week compares: an anonymized percentile, never a public ranking
- Vision Board cloud sync across devices
- Unlimited AI deck regenerations
- Data export
Price: $7/month or $60/year (FAQ). The plans page labels the annual option "save ~30%" (plans).
This page lists only what those two pages publish. If a feature isn't listed above, don't assume it's in Pro. How to use a weekly review once you have one: weekly review from your execution score.

Do I need an account to try it?
No. The FAQ answer is direct: "You can use the deck without an account. Sign in only when you want cloud sync across devices or to use Pro features." (FAQ).
In practice:
- No account: open the deck and run a day.
- Free account: sign in when you want the same deck on more than one device (cloud sync is on Foundations).
- Pro: needs an account. The plans page button reads "Sign up to upgrade".
Trial, money-back and cancelling
7-day free trial. Pro "starts with a 7-day free trial - cancel before it ends and you're not charged" (plans).
30-day money-back. After that, the refund policy offers "a 30-day money-back guarantee on Pro subscriptions": "you can request a full refund within 30 days of your order date — including a renewal charge you did not intend to continue". You "do not need to give a reason" (refunds).
Who handles payment. Refunds are processed by Paddle, the payment provider and Merchant of Record. You can request one at paddle.net with the email address you used at checkout, or by emailing support@billionhabit.com (refunds).
Cancelling. "You can cancel a subscription at any time from the billing portal." Cancelling stops future renewals, and Pro access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. The guarantee is in addition to your statutory consumer rights (refunds).
Billion Habit is operated by Workivio Ltd, registered in England and Wales.
Devices and sync
Who should stay on Foundations, and who might want Pro
Foundations is enough if:
- you want one screen for Top 3, Today, relationship touches and a weekly score;
- you're happy planning the day yourself rather than getting an AI briefing;
- you want peers in a pod, or a share link, without paying;
- you're happy running a weekly review from your own notes and the score your deck shows.
Pro might be worth it if:
- you want the deck and Google Calendar to sync both ways;
- you want an AI morning briefing and time advice each day;
- you want the Weekly Review ritual and full year-view history;
- you want data export or unlimited AI deck regenerations.
If you're unsure, run Foundations for a week or two first. The trial and money-back are there if you decide you need the depth layer.
Not a course, feed or coaching fee
The price is for software. The FAQ describes Billion Habit as "Software, not a course or a community", for people who want one screen, "not a habit-building course, and not a coaching membership" (FAQ). Pro doesn't unlock lessons, a coach or a members' feed. Mastermind pods are peer pods and free on Foundations. If you're weighing software against a coach or programme, see software that runs your day. More on pods: accountability pods without a public feed.
